MOTTS HILL LANE, TADWORTH

Art Deco Master Suite

Starting with a blank canvas, this large master bedroom suite sits inside a stunning architect-designed home, faced with plentiful glass windows and surrounded by woodland and trees. Embracing the wooden textures outside, our brief was to design a truly one-of-a-kind, show-stopping bedroom suite with a heavy art deco influence. A unique brief, we took to designing a sanctuary with an abundance of rich texture, deep tones, exquisite detail and pure elegance.

Works done:

  • Featuring a 2.5m high headboard, encased in a beautifully stained oak veneer, with hand-antiqued brass strips forming a starburst pattern throughout the headboard. With the headboard encompassing the two floating bedsides, matching half moon handles add a balance of subtlety and drama to the fitting.

  • Paired with a fully bespoke set of complementary furniture, including the 2.8m tall armoire and radiator cover, which were both designed with unique and intricate fretwork curated in a true 1920’s style.

  • The bespoke dressing table features plentiful storage within the leather-fronted draws, adorned in one-of-a-kind art deco styled handles.

  • In designing this unique bedroom scheme, it was only fitting to incorporate some truly unique features. In creating a three-piece handle for each side of the dressing table, we 3D printed the handle design, before casting a mould, melting down brass, and casting the handles ourselves with our network of amazing tradesmen who were thrilled to take on such a unique project, and the final result is something that the whole team are incredibly proud to have achieved.
